Was amazed that in the middle of a park there would be a Microwave!
A closer look proves that it really can be use and is a good initiative for pinic-ers...

Just knew there is a new surcharge for taxi called the "City Area Surcharge" which is $3!!!What's next...Is the Taxi Meter gonna roll freely like the Crazy Taxi game in the near future?

Can you imagine how expensive it is to take a cab from the city area now...Lets say if you work in Tanjong Pagar and gotta rush home(Ang Mo Kio) after 6pm at work = Daylight Robbery!

Basic Fare of $2.80 + $6(for distance home) + $3.10(35% peak period) + $3(CBD) + $3(City Area Surcharge) + $2(ERP at CTE) = $19.90!!

That is crazy lah, somemore got traffic jam even worst. Not sure if the CBD surcharge and the City Surcharge can be charged together, if so, really ridiculous!Boycott Taxi!

The tragic death of a South Carolina 10-year-old, Johnny more than an hour after he had gone swimming has focused a spotlight on the little-known phenomenon called “dry drowning” — and warning signs that every parent should be aware of.

At some point during his swim, Johnny got some water in his lungs. He didn’t show any immediate signs of respiratory distress, but the boy had an accident in the pool and soiled himself. Still, Johnny, his sister and their mother walked home together.

“We physically walked home. He walked with me,” Jackson said, still trying to understand how her son could have died. “I bathed him, and he told me that he was sleepy.”

Later, she went into his room to check on him. “I walked over to the bed, and his face was literally covered with this spongy white material,” she said. “And I screamed.”

According to the Centers for Disease Control, some 3,600 people drowned in 2005, the most recent year for which there are statistics. Some 10 to 15 percent of those deaths was classified as “dry drowning,” which can occur up to 24 hours after a small amount of water gets into the lungs. In children, that can happen during a bath.

Parents take note : The three important warning signs, are difficulty breathing, extreme tiredness and changes in behavior. All are the result of reduced oxygen flow to the brain.

So guys, take extreme caution when you swim! Therefore, to help prevent dry drowning, keep your mouth closed when jumping or diving into water, thereby protecting the larynx from a sudden inrush of water that could cause it to spasm and cut off the airway.

Last stop - Zurich, this is where we went around for the day so that we could catch our flight in the evening! Its great over there as rental of bicycles are free and a few kiosk are available around the train station.Shiok!
Thats the bottle that followed us everywhere that we went for our whole trip since we got it at Manchester Piccadilly Station.
Train towards Airport. During the trip, ask plenty of locals about directions and names of places as you will never know that the Airport train station is called Zuerich Flughafen. The locals are always friendly and helpful...

Firstly, don't apply any jobs that states "Management trainee" crapping about outrageous remunerations and prospects. And the ppl in hr respond you damn fast and ask you to interview at Fuji Xerox one.Don't go ya, its confirm Prudential.Unit : #08-01. Guess they also have offices under different names around the 6th and 7th floor. Back then in my JC did an interview there, bullshit.

Secondly, its the Cobra group crap, with sister groups like Appco or Dreamworks located at Chinatown there. They usually advertise as Marketing/Sales Executive. I just went down for an interview that day and the next day, they call to say got 2nd interview and would be held from 2-7pm. Went i was interviewed, it seems like a dream job and all, say until very nice and pro, i knew something wasn't right liaoz.Knew something was fishy about it and rejected it and upon checking online to confirm that this is another one of those job scams. So, job-hunters...Beware!

TRUMMELBACH FALLS ...Very nice and exciting place to go! This is where you can check out a water fall from inside, and its scary for people with fear of heights! 10 glacier waterfalls flowing INSIDE a mountain. Thundering might of nature on display!

Remarkable, how they built the buidlings over here, and construction materials are ferried around by boats!
They can actually fish right from their windows, hahaz!
Thats the huge colosesso cookie we had for snacks, and venice is the best place to get ice cream for 1 cone at only €1 where the most expensive is only at €3. Now i rememeber, the most expensive ice cream we had was at Florence, tourist trap lah, we asked for small, they give us a huge one and charge €9 for it, can you believe it! thats like S$20 fo an ice cream, yes it was huge, but still...heart pain!

Pisa!!!

Got off the train to check out Pisa for a few hours on the way to Florence. Its really unbelievable how much it was the leaning tower of Pisa was leaning and you could really see the difference upclose and when its compared with the building beside it.
From the papers just a few days back it was a difference of 4metres from the North end of the tower to the South end, that quite alot ya. This building was also mentioned that it will still be able to stay upright for another 300 years, thanks to technology.

This is the overnight train from Paris to Roma, what an experience to sleep in one for a journey which lasted 15 hours! Its so much better to get the upper decks compared to the lower ones. And this train ride seems to be dangerous from what i heard from the locals where pickpocket, robbery and murder was rampant.Heng ah..we got a peaceful ride throughout!

The Arc de Triomphe which honors the Napoleon kings was a great sight and it was huge!We had loads of fun taking photo with this structure!
And of couse the Eiffel tower, first impression from faraway was hmmz, greyish N dull tower, until when u r this close, u would realised how remarkable and beautiful it is!

With loads of tourist waiting to go up to its 3 different tiers.
Thats the view from up there! View was so spectacular that i wanna be part of it!

From real far away, this was taken while walking towards the Louvre as we wanted to check it out in the evening and then head back to Eiffel in the night. On the first day there, we actually walk all the way around, easily covering up to 25km around Paris.

Went over to Versaille the next day to visit the Palace of Versailles aka Château de Versailles where King Louis XIV stayed. The whole place is like damn huge with an enormous garden!

Manage to chance upon a huge market that sells everything from fresh produce to shoes and clothes. Cheap also...Got 3 pairs of socks for €1.50 only, thats like about S$1 a pair!

Paris was the place where we took the most photos and seriously 1 or 2 days is never enough for it!
Went up to see the Sacré-Cœur by the funicular. Didn't actually know whats a funicular till i went there, its an inclined cable railway and its amazing how these things works just like the one at HK's the Peak.

What better way to intro Amsterdam with thier infamous Red Light District. Red Lights everywhere, where loads of ppl ply their trade which is respectable and recognised over there.
Thats where they sit,dance and attract their customers. Apparently they have to rent that box up room by the day.
and the bed inside...

Here's where Magic Mushrooms are sold, these hallucinogenic mushrooms would make the consumer to hallucinate for up to hours...The owner of our hostel also did explain that those who consume it would go for a trip of their own, just got to be careful with the many canals around,don't sound too exciting to try eh?
And the canal outside the hostel...its nicely done up as the city centre is surrounded by rows of nicely stack canals...machiam like little venice.

and since we are there we visited the well known sex museum!See their city flag, coincidentally got XXX also, Heez!
loads of it everywhere...

And their bicycles are everywhere...even up the lampost to prevent theft of bicycles which are quite rampant.
Thats their kind of life...chill under the hot sun, perhaps enjoying their marijuana or magic mushrooms.
Loads of pigeons too...i wonder what would happen if i feed them with magic mushrooms,Heez!

Manage to catch the London Bridge that folds up for the vessel to cross, surprisingly this bridge was an amazing sight itself and it was so beautiful that we caught it from noon till sun set.
Walk around the streets of london and along River Thames and caught alot of amazing sights...Here's St Pauls from the other side of the river...
London eye and the scenic riverside bustling with life!Everyone was chilling along the riverside enjoying their wine N beer...

Buckingham Palace duckie...Nice park they have with loads of ppl jus basking under the sun!
There were so many places to see that i actually lost track of some of the names N places...hahaz!
And the famous Trafalgar Square!Very nice with the fountains,museums and the lion structure...
Roar....manage to climb up the structure and got this photo up close!Heez!

The nicest hotel that we had for only 29 pounds, what a bargain!

Caught the Mayday concert at genting during the weekends!
Amazing atmosphere and these guys really have stage prescence....

Madness at Raffles Place, Office workers,aunties,uncles armed with trash bags(very well prepared) to collect balls!They look quite cool though,so i got myself the smallest one.Heez!
Was there actually to change my dumb Sim Card,now,half of my newer contacts are gone!But this sight was really amazing...at first only,of the sea of OCBC red balls on the grass.After that at the stroke of 10am,it was a mad scramble to get the bigger balls(like the lady in yellow,above)...i think they were thinking to use it as a gym ball.Wanted to get one,but think quite useless lah...Successful Advertising Campaign for OCBC i think...

Queued for this...Donut factory!BUT...not worth the effort if i'm gonna queue for hours and its more expensive than the rest at $12.50 a dozen.Luckily,i only queued 10 mins for them,at around 10.45am.Heng ah...Still think J.Co at Batam have the BEST Donuts in terms of variety,quality and value for money! Munchy Donuts presentation sure win this lah...they taste better and cost cheaper too...
